Callum Turner Says He 'Knows Nothing' About James Bond Casting
Amazon MGM Studios has confirmed auditions are underway for James Bond 26, with casting director Nina Gold leading the search for an actor in his 30s to commit to a multi-film run. The franchise is being reinvented after Daniel Craig’s era, and the studio has kicked development into high gear.
Several names have been floated, with Callum Turner currently viewed as a frontrunner alongside the likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jacob Elordi. The 36-year-old British actor played down the speculation in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter: "I know as much as you do – really, I know as much as you do… Even your best friends ask you, people text you that you haven't spoken to for 10 years — and you know nothing!
It's such a weird thing of something happening and nothing happening at all. I genuinely know nothing. I just find it quite amusing." Turner declined to say whether he would be interested in the role. Turner’s standing received a boost when George Clooney publicly endorsed him: "I hope Callum ends up being the next Bond.
