Brooklyn Beckham took a swipe at his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, in a new DoorDash advertisement that referenced his “complicated” relationship with his family. In the Instagram clip he sits on a couch in a sweatshirt and jeans and quips, “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home,” before tossing World Cup tickets onto a coffee table.

The words “It’s complicated. More soon,” flash across the screen; he captioned the post, “Long story.” Reactions in the comments were mixed. Some viewers accused him of using family tensions to stay relevant — “When you have to keep having digs at your family to stay relevant” — while others praised the humour, calling him “Such a cheeky chappie” and saying, “I love this!

Excellent humour.” The ad appeared days after his 14-year-old sister Harper was photographed arriving at his Beverly Hills home shortly after David Beckham’s Walk of Fame ceremony.
