Brooklyn Beckham earned at least $1 million for DoorDash ad
Brooklyn Beckham was paid at least $1 million for a DoorDash commercial in which he jokes about watching the World Cup from home to avoid his family. In the teaser he says, “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the Fifa World Cup 2026 from home. It’s not like I don’t have tickets,” adding, “Um, it’s because … it’s a long story,” and in the full spot hands off tickets, telling a delivery driver, “These can go to someone else.
Put them somewhere fun.” The ad drew a wave of online criticism and upset within his family, with one source calling it “terrible” and saying the campaign should be reconsidered while describing relatives as “devastated” and “inconsolable.” The commercial was released after a teaser and came amid public signs of strain: Harper Beckham was seen traveling to try to reach her brother, and Brooklyn did not attend his father’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
Some industry voices defended the spot as timely and effective.
