Britney Spears debuts sleek new hairstyle by Chris Appleton

Britney Spears has unveiled a sleeker look after visiting Chris Appleton, Kim Kardashian’s go-to hairstylist. Appleton straightened her hair into smooth, blond tresses, a change from her usual more voluminous style. He shared a photo on Instagram showing the pair with Spears playfully sticking out her tongue and holding a handful of hair irons.

Appleton captioned the post, "As a kid growing up in England, Britney Spears was the soundtrack to so many moments," and called her "one of the most genuinely kind and gentle souls I’ve ever met." Kardashian reacted with two heart-with-arrow emojis. The new look follows a string of recent legal and health matters.

In March she was arrested in Ventura County on suspicion of DUI; dashcam footage showed her failing a field sobriety test after saying she had only one mimosa, and a police report said she had allegedly taken several prescription medications, including Adderall, Lamictal and Prozac.
