Pixar crossed an impressive milestone last weekend when it released Toy Story 5 in theaters, making Toy Story the first of the studio's franchises to earn a fifth installment. While the studio is also known for original films, follow-ups have appeared for worlds like Cars, Finding Nemo, Inside Out and The Incredibles.

One title that has not returned is Ratatouille, and director Brad Bird has made his stance clear. Asked if he was interested in another Ratatouille, he replied, "No. I don't. They've made little feints towards that to see how I would react. They'll, like, crack a joke, but the joke will be a little bit serious, like, 'Would you?' And I'm like, 'No, we told that story.'" Patton Oswalt, who voices Remy, previously said he would only do a sequel if Bird had the right idea, noting how Bird didn't initially see a follow-up to The Incredibles until the story came to him.
