Blue Ivy Carter looked like her famous mom with a high-ponytail braid in New York City on Thursday as she stood by Jay-Z’s side. Arriving as her dad’s date at the “Reasonable Doubt Jay-Z30” pop-up, the 14-year-old kept her outfit casual in a Fear of God Jay-Z hoodie and light-wash Jaded London jeans.

She pulled her hair into a high ponytail braid that echoed one of Beyoncé’s signature looks — long, slicked back and ombré, shifting from dark brunette to platinum blonde by the time it reached her waist. Blue accessorized with a few stacked rings and thick-frame eyeglasses.

Fans noticed the resemblance, with one tweeting, “she got it from her mama! Blue ivy and Beyoncé going braid for braid” and another replying, “twinsies.” Jay-Z kept it low-key in a white tee and jeans for the occasion, which celebrates his 30 years in the industry.
