Blue Eye Samurai season 2 footage shows Mizu in London
It's been over two years since Blue Eye Samurai first arrived on Netflix, and viewers have been waiting for season 2. A brief teaser released last summer included a flashback of Mizu leading a peasant rebellion, and at the 2026 Annecy Festival Netflix showed roughly one minute of new footage for the upcoming season, which has no set release date.
Season 1 ended with Mizu capturing arms dealer Abijah Fowler and taking a ship to London to locate and kill the men who could be her father. The new clip offers a first look at what she does in Europe. By the time she reaches England, Fowler is no longer held in a cell; he stands beside her on the shoreline and promises he’ll deliver the men she’s hunting within days.
He admits it’s been a while since he’d been back in London after spending time manipulating Japanese politics, and says the last time he was there the whole city danced to his tune. Fowler’s scheme to flush out Routely or Skeffington involves an underground fighting match.
