After a long, troubled development, Vampire: The Masquerade—Bloodlines 2 is set to receive its second and final DLC, The Flower and the Flame, which arrives next week and brings an end to the game's extended saga. The project was announced in 2019; original developer Hardsuit Labs was removed in 2021 and The Chinese Room rebuilt and released the game last year.

The new content lets players control Ysabella, the Toreador who runs the Atrium nightclub, across four quests that explore her relationships with key figures from the base game and the reasons behind her actions. Gameplay leans on Toreador abilities from the main game but adds new touches: a Razor Wire hook attack that lassoes and stuns enemies, rapier melee combat, and the ability to dual-wield any guns picked up, from pistols to sniper rifles.

Earlier DLC Loose Cannon similarly reintroduced hand-held guns and melee, but only for the DLC character Benny.
