Bety Wows AGT Judges with 'If The World Was Ending' Cover

Seventeen-year-old Bety traveled from Valencia, Spain with her brother for an America's Got Talent audition during Season 21, Episode 3. She chose JP Saxe's 2019 song "If The World Was Ending," mixing Spanish lyrics and delivering an emotional performance. Mel B said, "I don’t think it could have gone any better for you right now.

You have so much potential, but I can see your nervousness." Simon Cowell added, "You gave us kind of a masterclass on how to sing a song. And you’re not copying people. You’ve got your own thing going. I think you nailed that." Howie Mandel and the other judges voted her through, with Mandel calling her "Halsey and Adele all rolled into one," and Sofía Vergara telling her, "Your energy’s beautiful, the song was beautiful, you’re a star already." Bety, also known as Bety Dumitru, has built a following online with over 46,000 followers on Instagram and more than 91,000 followers on TikTok.
