Best quiet gaming keyboard gets smaller TKL version this year

Be Quiet! has announced a tenkeyless version of its Light Mount keyboard at Computex. The original Light Mount scored 93% in a review last year; the TKL is a smaller model expected to launch in August, though a price has not been revealed. TKLs often cost a little less than full-size boards, so the writer hopes it might undercut the $170 full-sized model by a few tens of dollars.

The Light Mount design focuses on quiet operation, using three layers of sound-dampening foam and factory-lubricated switches. As noted in a past review: "though by no means silent, I'm definitely a fan of the sound-dampened clacks on Be Quiet's Light Mount. It lives up to its name in more ways than one, too, boasting vibrant, head-turning per-key RGB lighting—even the software offers few reasons to complain!" Beyond its acoustics, the keyboard supports hot-swappable 5-pin switches, per-key RGB lighting and includes a media wheel.
