Best pizza ovens in the UK — tested for every budget
If you love pizza, a dedicated oven is a gadget that quickly moves from indulgence to indispensable. Outdoor pizza ovens have become simpler to light, cook in and clean, and options now range from fuss-free electric models to wood-fired ovens and kits for a smoky flavour.
I test outdoor kit regularly despite being an indoorsy reviewer, and each oven here was given a thorough workout. Assembly, fuel connection and heat-up time all matter, so I used an IR thermometer, baked three pizzas at different temperatures and noted consistency; some ovens required more than one person to move and set up, with the Gozney Dome recommending four people to lift its 62kg bulk.
Most tests took half a day each, and samples were returned or donated except for one kept for longer-term testing. My overall pick is the Gozney Arc Lite. Compact enough to store easily (48cm deep and under 30cm tall) and weighing 12kg, it brings many features of larger models, including a lateral flame, though it lacks an integral thermometer.
