The best laptop cooling pads of 2026: Expert tested

A good cooling pad can keep a laptop running smoothly during long workdays or marathon gaming sessions by improving airflow and reducing heat buildup. I tested a range of top-rated models, from budget-friendly designs to high-power options. For the June update, we tested the Liangstar Laptop Cooling Pad and the IETS GT20UB vacuum cooler.

My pick for the best overall is the Llano V12. Its recessed fan and soft foam create a vacuum-like effect that drops surface temperatures, and the 2,800 RPM fan can be powered from a wall outlet as well as USB. The Llano also includes vivid RGB lighting, but it is one of the pricier choices and can be bulky for travel.

The Klim Everest strikes a strong balance between performance and price, using twin turbine fans that spin up to 4,300 RPM and offering an ergonomic angled design, adjustable speeds, USB pass-through and LED lighting; note that the fans can be loud at high settings.
