Best Buy cuts EA Sports FC 26 to $30 for World Cup tie-ins

The World Cup has produced few upsets, but some disappointing results mean fans will see their teams go home early. You don't have to wait four years for a rematch: Best Buy is offering FC 26 at 40% off across consoles, bringing the price to $30 on Switch, PlayStation and Xbox.

Best Buy is promoting the discount as part of its World Cup tie‑ins and is also advertising several color options of the Xbox Elite Series 2 Core, though those controllers aren't discounted. The retailer hasn't said when the sale ends, but it may roll into the Prime Day reductions that begin June 23.

If you only play every few years, the World Cup can be a good reason to try the latest release. FC 26 brings several major changes to the formula, including a refreshed Manager mode and a revamped Ultimate Team, giving more reason to consider this edition.

Amazon could shave a dollar or two off the price during Prime Day, but that won't arrive for a few days. For now, Best Buy's $30 offer is an easy way to set up your own rematches.
