Sam Mendes is directing a four-film project that spotlights each member of the Beatles, titled The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event. The movies are planned for a simultaneous release in 2028, though no specific timeframe has been confirmed. Leading the quartet are Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.

The supporting cast already includes Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Arthur Darvill as Derek Taylor and Adam Pally as Allen Klein. Ben Schwartz has now joined the ensemble to portray Murray the K, the New York disc jockey who became part of the Beatles' world during their first U.S.

visit in the 1960s. Schwartz is best known for voicing Sonic the Hedgehog in the recent live-action films and is set to reprise that role in Sonic the Hedgehog 4, which is slated for release on March 19, 2027 and has been filming since March.
