Ghosts is making a notable casting change for Season 6: Ben Feldman, who appeared as a guest across the last two seasons, has been promoted to series regular. The show, the most-watched comedy across broadcast and streaming original series, is heading into Season 6 with writing well underway ahead of its return on CBS this fall.

Feldman had played Sam's (Rose McIver) lovable fellow ghost-seeing weirdo, Kyle. Showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman said, "We’re so excited to have Ben on Ghosts this season. He’s a truly gifted actor that is equally adept at comedy and emotion, and he’s an incredible addition to an already stacked cast." Making Kyle a permanent fixture at Woodstone opens the series to more ghost-driven storylines.

In Season 5 the ghosts turned Kyle into a butler-babysitter hybrid, drew him into their romantic drama, and sent him to England as a ghost communicator for Jay; the finale set up Kyle moving in while Sam oversees filming for her holiday rom-com, Polar Opposites.
