Beating Elden Ring twice a week for four years
FromSoftware sits in a curious position: it released Elden Ring, its most successful and arguably best game, and has since released titles that are very different, including Elden Ring Nightreign, Armored Core 6 and The Duskbloods. The studio has not announced a new single-player dark fantasy RPG of the kind it’s known for, which has left many fans revisiting Elden Ring and its sprawling DLC.
One of those fans is Bushy, a challenge runner on Twitch and YouTube who estimates he has beaten the game over 400 times. He completes self-imposed rule sets—one-hitting bosses, never dying, always getting hit, kicking enemies to death—and commissions mods for stranger runs.
His recent videos include experiments such as "Elden Ring But I Can Only Use White Items." Bushy says he has played the game for around "3,500 to 4,000" hours and remains as enamored with it as ever.
