Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano says Bayern Munich, after failing to sign Anthony Gordon, have identified PSV Eindhoven's Ismael Saibari as their new preferred option and that talks between the clubs have gained momentum. Romano adds the Moroccan is "eager to join Bayern this summer." Saibari is under contract at PSV until 2029 and local paper Eindhovens Dagblad reports the Dutch champions are holding out for a "huge transfer fee" that could top €60 million.

Galatasaray and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked to the attacking midfielder. Romano suggests that price is unlikely to derail Bayern because Joao Palhinha is now expected to generate significant funds through the sales of recently loaned players, helping the club reach its transfer budget.

Contrary to recent reports that Palhinha was considering a return to Sporting Lisbon, the midfielder now favours staying at Tottenham Hotspur, who reportedly hold a buy option worth around €30 million and are said to be keen to exercise it.
