Bayern reportedly closing on surprise double signing: Dest and Saibari
FC Bayern have been linked with PSV Eindhoven's Ismael Saibari and former target Sergino Dest. Dest was already in Munich in summer 2020 when a move appeared imminent but chose Barcelona: "Why Barcelona and not Bayern? It wasn't easy, but Barcelona is the club of my dreams," he told the Associated Press.
After spells at Barcelona and AC Milan he moved to PSV on a free in summer 2024, suffered a cruciate ligament tear in April 2024 that delayed his comeback until March 2025, then regained a starting place and played a key role in PSV's Eredivisie title defence with eight assists and two goals.
With his PSV contract running until 2028, Bayern would reportedly need to pay between €20m and €25m for Dest. The club appears to be prioritising a deal for Saibari, however, with an agreement reportedly in place between Bayern and the Moroccan and an initial offer of €48m said to have been made to PSV.
