Bayern Munich exploring move for Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha
Bayern Munich are exploring a move to sign Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha, having identified the 17-year-old England youth international as their primary target for the left flank. Vincent Kompany and the club board are driving the pursuit, but they have not yet made formal contact with Liverpool.
Liverpool have downplayed talk of an exit after Ngumoha's breakthrough campaign, in which he featured 29 times across all competitions. The academy graduate was a rare bright spot during a difficult season and earned a call-up to train with the senior national team in North America.
The Reds are reluctant to let him go as they seek to rebuild their wide options following Mohamed Salah's departure and the expected exit of Federico Chiesa, and they have already relied on Ngumoha's development after Luis Diaz's move to Bavaria. Liverpool are also targeting RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, while Bayern need long-term planning on the left as Serge Gnabry and Harry Kane enter their 30s.
