Backrooms: Everything Must Go Edition arrives July 3 with 15 minutes of new footage

A24 will release an extended version of Backrooms in theaters on July 3. Backrooms: Everything Must Go Edition adds roughly 15 minutes of theatrically exclusive footage and runs just over two hours. Rather than inserting deleted or extended scenes throughout the film, the extended edition includes post-credit bonus footage from Kane Parsons.

The material is described as theatrically exclusive and is not expected to appear on the film's streaming or disc releases. Backrooms has grossed more than $330 million, making it A24's highest-grossing film to date and one of 2026’s standout releases. It sits as the second-highest-grossing horror of the year behind Obsession, and the re-release will likely eclipse the latest Star Wars film in box office revenue.

AMC's listing does not say how long the extended version will play; at least one AMC in New York City shows screenings through Tuesday, July 9.
