Fans in London expecting a surprise trailer for Avengers: Doomsday were left disappointed when the event offered something else: directors Joe and Anthony Russo turned up to sign Doctor Doom-themed coffee bags instead of unveiling new footage. The coffee lineup included a number of Doctor Doom nods, referencing the character’s mother Cynthia and Latveria’s deposed king Vladimir Fortunov.

Entertainment editor Jordan Farley posted images that appear to show Latveria’s MCU flag among the items on display. A trailer has already been shown to audiences at CinemaCon, where footage featured Thor battling Doctor Doom. Earlier marketing for Doomsday included four teaser clips attached to Avatar: The Way of Water screenings, highlighting Steve Rogers’ return and scenes tied to Thor, the X-Men, and Wakanda/Fantastic Four.

The Russos have described those pieces as “stories” and “clues” and said the next Avengers movie would be a “complete reinvention for Marvel.” Marvel is also re-releasing Avengers: Endgame with added Doomsday footage.
