Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game arrives next month
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game will be released on July 23 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. The 1v1 fighter features hand-drawn 2D animation and looks just as beautiful as the original cartoons.
It includes a story mode, arcade fights, online bouts, rollback netcode, and crossplay across all platforms. The game is expected to have a high skill ceiling, but a separate newcomer mode will teach players unfamiliar with fighting games. The base game costs $29.99; the $49.99 Deluxe Edition includes a Year 1 Pass, a digital artbook, and a digital soundtrack.
The launch roster includes 12 characters: Aang, Avatar State Aang, Azula, Katara, Kyoshi, Ozai, Sokka, Toph, Zuko, Korra, Avatar State Korra, and Zaheer. The Year 1 Pass will add five more characters, and those who pre-order can vote on who they want to see added. Fans are already excited for it.
