Audiobook of The Odyssey narrated by AI Michael Caine

ElevenReader, owned by audio company ElevenLabs, has released an audiobook of Homer's The Odyssey narrated by a digital facsimile of Michael Caine's voice. The production features AI voices and AI music, and Caine partnered with ElevenLabs to make his voice available for virtually everything on the platform.

"The Odyssey is one of the greatest stories ever told. For nearly three millennia, its themes of perseverance, loyalty, temptation, and the enduring call of home have resonated across cultures and generations," Caine said in a statement. Some critics say these technically competent voice-overs cannot match the personality of a human performance.
