Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20 bundle adds OLED screen and AR glasses
Asus has unveiled an anniversary ROG Xbox Ally X20 bundle that pairs the handheld with a set of AR glasses. The handheld carries a black-and-gold theme, including a 'custom gold internal structure', and gains TMR thumbsticks plus a 7.4-inch OLED screen. The standard ROG Xbox Ally X uses a 7-inch IPS LCD, so the OLED represents a significant display upgrade; both panels run at 120 Hz.
TMR thumbsticks should reduce stick drift and may also improve battery life. A new D-Pad can be swapped between four-way and eight-way input. Internals are largely unchanged: the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme in the X20 has an NPU, but otherwise matches the Ryzen Z2 Extreme.
The bundle includes 24 GB of LPDDR5X memory, a 1 TB SSD and an 80 Wh battery, with the X20 running around 40 g heavier than the previous model. Price and release date remain unconfirmed. The package pairs the handheld with ROG XReal R1 AR glasses that plug into the top to produce an apparent 171-inch screen, though the glasses are tethered to the device and will limit portability.
