Asus ROG Pelta headset down to $81 for Prime Day

The Asus ROG Pelta offers a versatile, understated gaming headset and is currently discounted 37%, selling for slightly more than $81. It uses 50 mm titanium-plated drivers that James said rendered the highs and mids of Doom: The Dark Ages' soundtrack faithfully, though he found the bass to be a bit of a let-down.

"The feeling of the Doom Slayer's feet stomping on the pavement doesn't quite match the weight I was expecting with the standard EQ settings," he wrote, adding that pumping up the bass helps but doesn't quite deliver fully authentic low-end. Outside of Doom, James found the drivers strong in other shooters.

"The intricacies of sound come through well, and directional atmospheric noises are pointed and easy to pick out. This makes listening for footsteps in the likes of Valorant incredibly easy.
