Asus launches mystery mini loot boxes with peculiar ROG keycaps
Asus ROG has announced Mystery Box Edition 20 keycap sets as part of its 20th anniversary range. Each box contains six mystery keycaps, joining a lineup that already includes an unusually large GPU released under the same Edition 20 name.
The tiny keycaps depict ROG peripherals mounted on a bed of stalagmite crystals: a Gladius mouse, a Raikiri controller, an Asus Delta headset, and a couple of ROG logos. The oddest pieces are a Chariot chair that can be spun by hand and a Claymore keyboard shown split into a main left section and a separate numpad that can be pressed independently.
They read as playful collectibles rather than serious peripherals, and Asus has showcased more conventional hardware at Computex as well, including an esports OLED monitor. Much will hinge on how rare the fancier caps prove to be, since collectors may need to buy many boxes to complete a set.
