To mark ROG's 20th anniversary, Asus revealed a black-and-gold line of hardware that includes the ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20. The mouse carries "Authentic 24K gold-plated detailing" beneath a black translucent shell; at first glance the gold-under-black palette can mute the colours, giving a slightly cardboard-like impression, though it does not look bad.

The Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 weighs 82 g and offers up to an 8,000 Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes, Asus's ROG 100M optical micro switches, and a 65K DPI sensor. Those are very high figures—by comparison, the Razer Viper V4 Pro also reaches 8,000 Hz but tops out at 50,000 DPI—and the maximum polling and DPI will be excessive for most players, with 8k polling often not worth the wireless battery drain.

Based on the lighter Harpe II Ace (48 g), Asus says the shape was developed with input from esports pros, and the added weight may be due to the gold internals.
