Astro Bot for PS5 drops to $39 on Amazon

It has been nearly two years since Astro Bot launched, and the PS5 exclusive is currently selling on Amazon for $39, down from $59.99. That appears to be the lowest price Amazon has listed it for, by less than $1, and the reduced cost is hidden until you add the game to your basket.

The game received a full five-star review and is ranked at the top of lists of best PS5 games. A platformer in the series' tradition, it was built as a PS5 exclusive and makes inventive use of the DualSense controller. Developer Team Asobi has supported it with level packs and updates, including crossovers with Final Fantasy, Tekken and Rayman.

The Steam Summer Sale opens on June 25, but as a PS5 exclusive Astro Bot won't be discounted there. This Amazon reduction arrives on the eve of expected Prime Day PS5 deals running between June 23 and June 26; if you have a long wish-list you might wait to see other reductions, though the game is not expected to get cheaper than the current price.
