Aston Villa demand £130m for Morgan Rogers
Aston Villa have placed a £130 million valuation on Morgan Rogers as Premier League interest from Arsenal and Chelsea grows. The 23-year-old England international is currently away on World Cup duty and has become one of the most sought-after players after a standout season.
The fee would top the British transfer record of £125m set when Liverpool bought Alexander Isak. Villa have told suitors they will not let Rogers leave for less, citing market inflation and comparisons with recent big moves such as Elliot Anderson’s £116m transfer.
Villa’s demand also reflects a 20 per cent sell-on clause owed to Middlesbrough from his £15m sale in 2024, a factor that has pushed the club to seek a larger gross fee to secure a substantial net profit. Rogers has 18 caps for England—six more than Anderson—and Villa point to his consistent continental displays in justifying their price.
