Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater quietly ended their three-year relationship several months ago. They have remained friends and, the couple said, 'have nothing but respect and admiration for one another,' deciding they were better off as friends than in a committed relationship.

Grande, 32, and Slater, 34, met on the set of Wicked. Both were married at the time — Grande to her now ex-husband Dalton Gomez and Slater to his estranged wife Lilly Jay — and Slater and Jay share a 3-year-old son, Ezra. In June 2023 Jay criticized Grande, saying '[Ariana's] the story, really.
