Ari Thrash lands Marie in Persona 4 Revival after manifesting the role

Ari Thrash has been announced as the new English voice of Marie in Persona 4 Revival. Marie was previously a Persona 4 Golden-exclusive character voiced by Eden Riegel, and Thrash is also known for voicing Yao Guang in Honkai: Star Rail.

Thrash had publicly expressed a desire to be cast in a remaster over two years ago, tweeting in April 2024 that trying out for Rise or Nanako was a “hardcore manifestation,” and reiterating her intent later that year. At the time she admits she hadn’t played Golden and didn’t know who Marie was, but she now says “dreams really do come true.”

She describes the role as a huge dream come true, praising the localization team and her cast mates and acknowledging that veteran fans may miss the original Marie’s voice. Thrash says she avoided doing an impression and based her performance on Marie’s design and sides, and that she cried after finishing her last session. Fans will hear her work once Revival launches next February.
