Suspicion arrived on Apple TV+ as an eight-episode conspiracy thriller with a notable cast — Uma Thurman, Kunal Nayyar, Georgina Campbell, Elizabeth Henstridge, Elyes Gabel and Noah Emmerich — but it was canceled after one season in 2023. The show never reached the cultural momentum enjoyed by some of the streamer’s biggest hits, yet its production values and performances earned regular praise.

The plot opens with the abduction of Leo Newman, son of communications executive Katherine Newman (Thurman), taken from a New York hotel by attackers wearing masks of British Royal Family members. Viral security footage points investigators to five British guests: Natalie Thompson (Campbell), Aadesh Chopra (Nayyar), Tara McAllister (Henstridge), Eddie Walker (Tom Rhys Harries) and Sean Tilson (Gabel).

As U.S. and U.K. authorities dig in, the suspects become entangled in lies, misleading information and hidden agendas. Critics were divided.
