Severance, often cited as one of Apple TV's best sci‑fi series, has been knocked off the platform's weekly streaming chart. The Adam Scott‑led show debuted in 2022 and, after a second season in early 2025, had held a spot on Apple TV's top 10 for nearly two years.

Apple TV's current weekly chart is led by Jon Hamm's Your Friends & Neighbors, with Star City second and Widow's Bay third. Other sci‑fi staples such as For All Mankind and Monarch remain in the charts, but Severance is nowhere to be found. Being removed from the weekly chart may signal a waning in the show's long‑term popularity, despite Severance being built around mystery and rewarding repeat viewings.

With newer series competing for attention, the gap gives the show a blank slate ahead of its third season. Production had been scheduled to begin in early 2026, but that start date wasn't met; Adam Scott has said filming will begin "very soon" and has teased a release sometime in 2027.
