The Corsair TC500 Luxe is highlighted as a favorite: it aims for the feel of a perfectly adjustable sofa or La-Z-Boy, with adjustable lumbar support, a magnetic head pillow, recline, adjustable armrests and a wide seat base that lets you shift position.

The main caveat is the armrests, which are set too wide and slightly hurt the ergonomics, though not enough to negate the chair’s other strengths. The Corsair TC100 Relaxed, the first gaming chair the reviewer tested, remains a strong starter option. It pairs comfort with basic gaming-chair features; the lumbar cushion and head pillow are strap-on, and armrest adjustability is limited, but the chair holds up over long hours at a desk.
