Anne Hathaway recalled 'painful' fertility struggles before third pregnancy
Anne Hathaway reflected on what she called “painful” fertility struggles years before revealing she is pregnant with her third child. In a 2019 interview she said, “I think that we have a very one-size-fits-all approach to getting pregnant.” She added, “And the steps that lead up to that part of the story are really painful and very isolating and full of self-doubt.
And I went through that.” Hathaway has said she “didn’t just wave a magic wand” to get pregnant and that the process is “more complicated than that.” She spoke about how many people feel unable to talk about fertility issues and said she wanted to send “extra love” to those who struggle.
When she confirmed the pregnancy this week, she posted a video on Instagram captioned, “Baby, I’m yours,” showing her growing bump. The actress was seen on vacation in St. Tropez with a visible baby bump, and photos show her covering it with a towel while at the Jardin Tropezina beach with her husband, their two sons and friends.
