Anna Faris recalls 'sad' Chris Pratt divorce eight years on

Anna Faris said work helped her through her divorce from Chris Pratt after eight years of marriage, recalling that she was feeling sad and that producing her podcast Anna Faris Is Unqualified helped a lot during that period. She launched the podcast wanting four listeners and to build a private community as an avenue outside Hollywood.

Faris said she did not disclose much on the show but felt she could if needed, and the project made her consider writing as another path and even a version of retirement. Now she describes the opportunities as more bountiful than ever and says she is overwhelmed with gratitude; fans often tell her that films like The House Bunny, Scary Movie or the series Mom helped them through hard times.

Faris also acknowledged that 26 years in the spotlight shaped who she is, while adding she had the core to get through the divorce and Hollywood chatter. After the split, Pratt married Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019 and they have three children, Lyla, Eloise and Ford.
