Angry Birds Movie 3 Returns After Seven-Year Gap in First Look
The animated Angry Birds franchise is returning after a seven-year gap, with a third film due in theaters on Dec. 23, 2026. The first two movies, released in 2016 and 2019, featured a starry voice cast that included Jason Sudeikis as Red, Peter Dinklage as Mighty Eagle, Josh Gad as Chuck, Bill Hader as Leonard, and Danny McBride as Bomb.
New images offer a first look at Red and Silver’s three children; Rachel Bloom voices Silver. The roles of Slider, June, and Olly will be played by Walker Scobell, Emma Myers, and Psalm West. The sequel is confirmed to follow Red and Silver as they navigate parenthood, with Glider described as the more adventurous child and June portrayed as a creative, independent teenager.
No release date for a trailer has been announced, though the first two films debuted their trailers at least six months before release. The original pair of films together grossed just over $500 million worldwide, and Sony is aiming for another solid holiday-season entry.
