American Ninja Warrior Season 18 Brings New Obstacles and Tripleheader Races
Season 18 of American Ninja Warrior returns with elite athletes facing a more challenging obstacle lineup. Hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, joined by sidelines host Zuri Hall, are back to call the action. This season adds gravity-defying obstacles and format remixes, highlighted by a supersized three-lane racecourse.
Regional Qualifiers get a shake-up as Ninjas from the West, Central and East regions compete for spots in the new Regional Finals. The hosts will open each night of Qualifiers with "Fastest Pick of the Night," a preview game in which they predict which competitor will post the fastest time.
Side-by-side races raise the stakes as athletes push for speed and precision. The Regional Finals follow a two-round structure. Round 1 is a six-obstacle course that sends the fastest 14 men and six women to Round 2. Round 2 introduces "The Tripleheader," a three-lane race where the top two finishers in each heat advance to the National Finals.
