David Leitch has built a reputation as a leading action director over the last decade. He co-directed John Wick in 2014 (without official credit) and directed 2018's Deadpool 2, which briefly held the title of highest-grossing R-rated movie. In the post-pandemic era he found further success with Bullet Train and The Fall Guy.

Amazon MGM Studios has released the first official trailer for How to Rob a Bank, Leitch's new action-comedy. The trailer introduces an ensemble that includes Nicholas Hoult, Anna Sawai, Pete Davidson and Zoë Kravitz. The film centers on a famous YouTube channel called "How to Rob a Bank," where influencers teach viewers how to commit the crime.

Footage shown at CinemaCon featured lines such as "Always cause a diversion" and a suggestion to "make your outfit memorable and have fun with it." Zoë Kravitz plays a hacker under house arrest whom police enlist to track down the bank-robbing influencers, while Hoult, Davidson and Sawai portray members of that group.
