Amazon is selling the Samsung T7 Portable SSD for $190, marked down $85 from $275 — a 31% discount. The T7 is the compact NVMe drive in Samsung’s Portable SSD lineup and upgrades the T5’s interface to USB 3.2 Gen 2, roughly doubling transfer speeds. Read speeds reach up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds up to 1,000 MB/s, fast enough to move 4K video or large photo libraries in seconds.

PCIe NVMe paired with USB 3.2 Gen 2 makes the T7 as fast as an internal SSD in a portable enclosure, and an internal thermal solution plus the aluminum unibody help prevent throttling during sustained transfers. Hardware-based 256-bit AES encryption secures the drive without slowing transfers, and Samsung’s Portable SSD software lets you set a password that encrypts the entire drive.

Direct 4K 60fps recording from a compatible camera or recent iPhone Pro is supported, providing a backup workflow for high-resolution video.
