Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds Is Being Remade as a Horror Miniseries

One of Alfred Hitchcock's most acclaimed horror films is being adapted as a limited series, 63 years after its 1963 release: The Birds.

A new package based on the avian-themed film is seeking buyers, with Succession Emmy winner Sarah Snook attached to star. Tom Spezialy, who co-created and developed Ash vs. Evil Dead and produced the Watchmen miniseries, is writing, while Universal International Studios and Heyday Television are producing.

The original film premiered March 29, 1963, ran 120 minutes and was directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It was written by Evan Hunter and starred Tippi Hedren and Rod Taylor.
