Alexandra Grant on supporting Keanu Reeves in their work

Alexandra Grant said she and Keanu Reeves support one another in their endeavors. "He’s always so appreciative, so he’s always cautious, I think, with feedback, and I would say the same," the artist, 53, said about the actor, 61, visiting her in the studio while she worked.

She said you should "always be respectful and leave the other person to bake their cake," and that the "key" in a partnership is "mutual respect." Grant added it helps to "respect" when your partner needs to "dive deep and have a process that’s maybe quiet or in another collaboration." Both share a "belief in projects," she said, noting "every project has its own autonomy." Grant referenced having "lived with John Wick" and "lived with Neo" while describing how she respects Reeves when he is in character.
