AGT Season 21 Episode 4: Who Got a Yes or an X?
Halfway through auditions, Season 21 kept leaning into magic and high-energy performance. Judge Sofía Vergara pressed the Golden Buzzer for singer Lara D, while Howie Mandel body-slammed the buzzer for Yu Hojin and his Hundred Fingers Act. Aerialists who hit an X and suffered a wardrobe malfunction still managed to earn four Yeses.
Dog tricks from Olivia Befus & Zeke, telepathy from James & Marina, and singer Brook Lynn all moved forward with Yes votes, while Kyle Johnson, Grant Parsons, and Micah Bean received Xs. Herwan Legaillard’s Houdini-style stunts earned a Yes and drew nervous praise from the judges.
Country duo Madelyn Tallent & Malachi Martin advanced after three Yeses, and Rubén Roldán Bustos won Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer for a prosthetic-free parkour display. Bird & Byron earned a Yes for an original song, while Hissy Kits did not. Mr. Hammerhand returned to attempt a record and broke 31 bats in 30 seconds, earning an ecstatic audience response.
