After an agonizing two-year wait, X-Men '97 is set to return: Season 2 will debut on July 1, 2026, and Marvel has released a new trailer.

Season 1, an Emmy-nominated continuation of X-Men: The Animated Series, exceeded expectations with a visually striking and surprisingly heartfelt approach and ended on a cliffhanger. The new teaser acts as a roll call for the many heroes who will go toe-to-toe with Apocalypse (Ross Marquand).

The trailer spotlights a wide roster of returning characters — Professor X (Marquand), Jean Grey (Jennifer Hale), Cyclops (Ray Chase), Forge (Gil Birmingham), Beast (George Buza), Nightcrawler (Adiran Hough), Morph (A.J. LoCascio), Bishop (Isaac Robinson-Smith), Rogue (Lenore Zann), Wolverine (Cal Dodd), and Storm (Alison Sealy-Smith) — and hints at additional newcomers.

Among the fan favorites making their series debuts in the trailer are Archangel, Psylocke, and Polaris. This is a developing story.
