Announced at Computex 2026, Acer’s Swift Air 14 brings color and affordability to a market driven by high-end PCs. The Swift Air 14 starts at $699, while Apple’s MacBook Neo begins at $599 for general buyers and $499 for students, making both clear contenders in the budget laptop segment.

Battery life leans to the Swift Air 14: a 70 Whr cell that Acer says lasted up to 19 hours in video playback, paired with Intel’s Core 7 “Wildcat Lake” series and fast charging that reaches 50% in about 30 minutes. The Neo’s 36.5 Whr battery looks more efficient on paper but offers less raw capacity.

For displays, the Neo wins on brightness and resolution with a 13-inch, 500-nit, 2408 x 1506 Liquid Retina panel at 60Hz, while the Swift Air 14 has a larger 14-inch 1920 x 1200 screen at 120Hz and 350 nits.
