Ace Combat Zero coming to PC as deluxe pre-order bonus for Ace Combat 8

A blink-and-you'd-miss-it moment during Sony's State of Play revealed that Ace Combat Zero, a 20-year-old PS2 title, will arrive on PC for the first time as a pre-order incentive for the deluxe edition of Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, which launches on PS5 and Steam on October 1.

It will be only the third game in the long-running series to reach PC. Bandai Namco is packaging the original Ace Combat Zero as a bonus for buyers of the deluxe edition; the game does not yet have its own Steam page and will presumably appear alongside, or shortly after, Ace Combat 8.

Originally a PS2 release with no HD remaster, Ace Combat Zero pairs the series' signature dogfighting and drama with Norse and Arthurian-flavored trappings. Squadron names, characters and vehicles draw from Norse mythology, fights take place over an area nicknamed The Round Table, and the story can even culminate in a one-on-one jousting match.
