Warner Bros. Animation announced at Annecy Animation Fest that Absolute Batman is being adapted into an animated series. The comic, created by Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta, has sold over 6 million copies across 21 issues; it was nominated for a 2025 Eisner Award for Best New Series and earned Clayton Cowles an Eisner for Best Lettering.

Snyder will serve as executive producer and showrunner, with Dragotta joining as a producer. Absolute Batman strips the character to his essentials: no manor, no butler and few gadgets, though he wields a Bat-axe. The story reimagines Bruce Wayne as a construction worker with an engineer's mind and the body of an NFL linebacker, and it flips some familiar roles by turning certain enemies into allies.

The series' official logline frames the hero as a working-class figure battling wealth, power and corruption to prove that one good person can change the world. No release window was announced.
