Abilities for Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolutions in Champions

Pokémon Legends: Z-A added just under 50 new Mega Evolutions across the base game and the Mega Dimension DLC. Z-A itself doesn’t include Abilities, the passive perks that shape battles, but Pokémon Champions — the Switch/mobile simulator that is supposed to be Pokémon’s new competitive platform — is rolling those Mega forms into play in waves.

The second wave arrived with the new season following the mobile launch on June 17, with additions tracked courtesy of Serebii. Several notable pairings have been revealed: Mega Dragonite gains Multiscale, while Mega Meganium gets a new ability called Mega Sol that grants the benefits of harsh sunlight.

Mega Feraligatr’s Dragonize turns normal moves into dragon types and boosts their power, and Mega Froslass brings Snow Warning to summon a five-turn snowstorm.
