A Good Girl's Guide to Murder to End With Shorter, Darker Season
Netflix and the BBC have confirmed A Good Girl's Guide to Murder will conclude on screen, with the final chapter returning in 2027. The series follows Pip Fitz-Amobi (Emma Myers) as her investigation reaches its final, increasingly twisted stage. The third season will be shorter—four episodes rather than six—and production has already wrapped.
That tighter format, alongside the likelihood that Myers will be working on other projects such as the upcoming season of Wednesday, raises questions about how the story will be paced to provide a satisfying ending. Author Holly Jackson, who serves as a writer and executive producer on the Netflix adaptation, called the third book, As Good as Dead, her "favorite book of the series" and said Season 3 is her "favorite season of the show too" in Netflix’s press release.
The show's critical reception has climbed between seasons, with Rotten Tomatoes scores increasing from 83% to 92%.
