8BitDo Retro R8 Mouse Drops to $40 With Charging Dock

The 8BitDo Retro R8 Mouse, styled after the original Nintendo controller, is on sale at Amazon for 20% off — $40, down from $50 — and includes a matching charging dock.

Its light-and-dark gray scheme and two red buttons clearly call back to the NES. Inside, a PAW 3395 sensor offers three sensitivity levels from 50 to 26,000 DPI and polling rates between 125Hz and 8,000Hz. Side buttons are fully programmable and can be assigned keystrokes or macros for tasks such as reload or crouch.

The included dock cradles the mouse for charging and storage and adds a signal-extending function to increase range. Built for longevity, the Retro R8 is tested for up to 100 million clicks and supports Bluetooth LE 5.3, 2.4G wireless, or wired USB connections.
